Elder Independence Gained Through ICR Senior Living Services

Often, a little help around the home or in the community can enable someone to maintain their independence – our attendant can help with light housekeeping, cooking, clerical needs, or transportation.

As someone’s physical and or mental abilities change, a trained attendant can assist with varying aspects of personal care easing the burden of care giving from family and friends.

Kids driving you nuts?Providing Support for You

We promote independence and community integration to whatever extent you are capable. As our client’s needs change, services can be increased or decreased. ICR attendants perform a variety of tasks based on your needs and desires including:

  • Assistance with bathing, dressing, toileting
  • Eating, drinking, medication reminders
  • Money management, shopping, banking, correspondence
  • Preparing basic and specialty meals following dietary restrictions and preferences
  • Light housekeeping, vacuuming, dishes, laundry, making bed
  • Making appointments, using public and/or private transportation
  • Other tasks as needed

Managing your needs — minimizing your worries:

  • At ICR, we believe that all people should choose with whom they wish to work. Clients are included in every step of the attendant selection process.
  • Every attendant hired by ICR is carefully chosen, and must pass a thorough California State Department of Justice background check prior to employment.
  • ICR trains all attendant(s) through on-going staff development including Red Cross Certified CPR. Additional training is tailored to each client’s needs and desires.
  • All attendants are bonded employees of ICR, and fully covered by ICR’s liability and worker’s compensation insurance.
  • ICR is an Approved Vendor by the Regional Centers for the East Bay and a member of the Berkeley Chamber of Commerce.

Getting Started

  • Initial meetings with clients provide opportunities for us to get better acquainted.
  • Clients and their families tell us about themselves and why they are seeking services. We, in-turn, will suggest ways in which our staff might assist.
  • A service plan is developed in collaboration with the client, their family, and ICR staff.
  • This plan can change with your needs and desires.
